Ms. Sarah Stone
Case Manager
Sarah Stone joined the NHS team in 2021 as the 1st and 2nd grade case manager. Her experiences as an educator include volunteering at a daycare in Thailand, working with middle and high school children in residential care, YMCA and after school programs, academic tutoring services, and serving as a case manager and classroom teacher in a school for children with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Before becoming an educator, Sarah earned a BFA in sculpture from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She received her special education training at Granite State College and later earned an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Plymouth State University. Sarah is currently continuing her studies at Plymouth, working on a CAGS in educational leadership.
Sarah believes that teachers must build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with the students they serve. By setting high expectations for all learners, and ensuring that her students know that she believes in their abilities and potential, Sarah strives to support young people in building a growth mindset, showcasing their strengths, and persevering in overcoming challenges.
When she isn’t teaching, Sarah enjoys crafting, concerts, traveling, cooking, baking, puzzles, games, movies, and lounging around the house with her puggle, Daisy.
