North Hampton School

Welcome Back to NHS!

Dear North Hampton School parents, guardians and families,

I hope you’ve had an amazing summer!  It sure has flown by, hasn’t it? There’s been a fair amount of activity at NHS this summer, including our summer school and the town recreation program, painting, remodeling, cleaning, but also a natural gas conversion project you may have noticed.  The new school year is upon us and we’re ready for the kids!

North Hampton School is a student-centered learning community focused on helping children and their families learn, grow and achieve.  We are dedicated to high quality instruction that promotes academic excellence through a rigorous, enriching curriculum that is also dedicated to the whole-child; age-appropriate, nurturing and supportive, and characterized by a gradual release of responsibility inherent to the development of confident, creative, caring lifelong learners.  We strive to help children become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers and proficient writers. As a staff, we look forward to working with you as we pursue excellence together. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year!

“Welcome Back” letters from your child’s classroom teacher were mailed home early last week and should have been received by now.  I look forward to supporting our teachers as they embark upon this year’s educational and developmental journey with your child(ren).

Lastly, the annual Back-to-School Picnic this coming Friday (8/24) from 5-7pm.  The school and classrooms will be open to parents and students from 5-6pm.  I hope you’ll stay for dinner and dessert afterwards, compliments of our NHS Food Service team.

Enjoy the next week or so and we’ll see all the students on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 28th.

Sincerely,

Erik M. Anderson

Principal
