Good afternoon North Hampton School parents and families,

It's been great to see everyone back these last three days.  The students and teachers haven't missed a beat.  The weather was "balmy" enough outside to hold a fire drill this afternoon!  Thank you North Hampton Fire and Rescue for helping keep us safe.

Geography Bee and Spelling Bee- 

Geography Bee workshops will take place from 3-4 in the library on 1/3, 1/10, 1/17, and 1/24 with the Geography Bee happening on 1/29 at 5:30pm.  Students and parents may visit:  https://www.nationalgeographic.org/bee/study   There are three levels of competition:  school, state, and national.  To compete for advancement from the school to the state level, the wining student must take the online qualifying test.  As many as 100 of the highest-scoring students in the state advance to the state competition on 3/29.  The state GeoBee champion advances to the national championship in Washington, D.C. on 5/19-22.

Spelling Bee workshops will take place from 3-4 in the library on 1/2, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21 with the Spelling Bee happening on 1/23 at 6:00pm.  Students and parents may visit spelling bee study materials to access study materials.  There are three levels of competition:  school, state, and national.  The school winner advances to the state competition.  The New Hampshire Union Leader State Spelling Bee will take place on Feb. 23 in Concord, and the National Spelling Bee is 5/26-5/31 in Washington, D.C.  

Class of 2023- Winnacunnet High School Guidance and Administration is holding their Course Selection Night for the incoming Class of 2023 (this year's 8th grade) on January 24th at WHS.

Tuesday, January 8- Artist in Residence Fundraiser- Margarita's Mexican Restaurant https://www.margs.com/food-drink/exeter/ 93 Portsmouth Ave, Exeter (603) 772-2274- 11:30am-10:00pm- Margaritas will donate 20% of pre-taxed food and beverage sales from participating families, friends and supporters to the NHS Artist in Residency Program, led by the 4th and 5th grade teams.
