Hello North Hampton parents, families and friends,
The First Grade teachers and their students are again proud to sponsor this year's school wide service learning project to benefit GATHER (formerly the Seacoast Family Food Pantry). The 100th Day Food Drive coincides with the 100th day of school, which is coming up on Thursday, February 7th (barring any snow days). Each grade level is asked to bring in 100 or more of the following item(s) designated by grade:
Kindergarten – Canned Tomatoes
1st Grade – Tuna
2nd Grade – Canned Soup (Ready-to-Serve preferred)
3rd Grade – Dish Soap
4th Grade – Shampoo
5th Grade – Bar Soap
6th Grade – Canned Black Beans or Kidney Beans
7th Grade – Mustard or Ketchup
8th Grade & Preschool – Canned Corn
Staff – Pancake Mix
Please bring donations in by Wednesday, February 6th. The 1st grade students, teachers and all of us here at NHS greatly appreciate your generosity to help Seacoast Area Families! THANK YOU!
The Service Learning group, led by Ms. Vas, is sponsoring a drive to help the NHSPCA support local shelters providing assistance to the German Shepherd Rescue effort. A link for more information is provided below:

The Service Learning group and the animals in need thank you!
A student-led recycling initiative has been launched at NHS! The students are called the Green Team, and they're helping all of us at NHS think about what we can and should do to give back to the planet that has given us so much. I'll be providing more information about the Green Team and their work in next week's message.
Be on the lookout for this year's PAL Student Directory!- Thank you to PAL (People Active in Learning) for assembling their Student Directory for this year. They look really sharp! If it didn't make it home today, a copy for each family will be sent home with your child, or youngest child, next week.
The Deliberative Session for the North Hampton School District 2019-20 Proposed Operating Budget will be held on Tuesday, February 5th at 7pm in the NHS cafeteria. At the bottom of the website homepage, under School News, is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, produced by SAU 21 Business Administrator Matt Ferreira, to help provide important information pertaining to this year's proposed budget. We hope you find it helpful!
