Marsha Zavez- Semifinalist for NH Teacher of the Year

Hello North Hampton parents and families,

Although you may have already heard, it is my privilege and honor to inform the NHS community that Marsha Zavez, our Visual Arts teacher for grades 4-8, has been named a semifinalist for the 2020 New Hampshire Teacher of the Year program.  The New Hampshire Teacher of the Year Selection Committee will visit the school during the afternoon of Monday, May 6th to observe Marsha and interview a number of different people, including students, colleagues, parents and supervisors.

For those of you whose children have yet to have Ms. Zavez, or if you haven't yet had the opportunity to get to know her, either through her classroom teaching or any one of the many other "hats" she wears around NHS, Marsha is a teacher who applies her creativity and zest for life into everything she does and has a special way of inspiring her students to use art to make the world a better place.  The students and staff are proud to have such a positive, enthusiastic, and incredibly well-deserving role model and colleague representing them; as Marsha is proud to represent the North Hampton School faculty as she vies for this prestigious honor.

Congratulations Marsha!
