Memorial Day 2019 message

Good morning North Hampton parents and guardians,

NHS Eighth Grade students honored our fallen veterans this morning during our Memorial Day assembly.  With great dignity and reverence, our students demonstrated they clearly understand the significance of this holiday.  They did themselves, the school and community proud and our veterans in attendance were greatly appreciative.  I hope you all have the opportunity to enjoy this holiday weekend with friends and family.

Next week, on Tuesday, our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students will begin taking the NH-Statewide Assessment System tests online (the 4th graders will also take their final test, Math, on Tuesday).  Please encourage your child to get a good night's rest and eat a nutritious breakfast through the course of the week.  Also, they'll need headphones or earbuds, for they tests.  Although we have them, it makes sense that a middle schooler may prefer to use his/her own and they are welcome to do so.

Next week, Kindergarten Orientation is being held on Wednesday and Thursday.  We're excited to get to know next year's Kindergarten students and their parents a little better!

Lastly, a flyer for North Hampton Youth Association (NHYA) soccer is in the Digital Backpack on this homepage; in addition to having been sent home via School Messenger.   What a great time of year to get out and get active!

Have an enjoyable weekend,

Erik M. Anderson
