Dear NHS Community,
Thanksgiving causes us all to think about that for which we are most grateful. If you are like me, I am guessing that your children make the very top of that list. Teaching them to recognize the good in life can be more challenging than some folks may think. Our kids have what they need and in many cases, much more. I found an article on learnersedge.com about the benefits of teaching our children to be grateful. In this article posted by Barb Istas, she quotes psychotherapist and author Amy Morin who shared collected research on gratitude in her Forbes magazine article, "7 Scientifically Proven Benefits Of Gratitude That Will Motivate You To Give Thanks Year-Round.” Here’s her list.

School Cancellations/Delays
Whenever there is a need to delay the opening of school or cancel classes, Supt. of Schools for SAU 21, Dr. William Lupini, will make that call. The SAU 21 office will send out notices via school messenger to inform both staff and families of any cancellations or delays.
Concerts in December
Our Grade 5-8 Band and Grade 5-8 Chorus will perform concerts for families during the month of December. Mr. Singer is pleased to invite you to the Band Concert on December 17th at 7:00 PM. Mrs. Oliver is pleased to invite to the Choral Concert on December 10th at 7:00 PM.
