Dear North Hampton Community,
You have likely heard that the SAU 21 Joint School Boards met last night and that our re-opening plans will be changing. You will receive a letter from Dr. Lupini outlining the circumstances that led to this decision. The letter also contains a link to the presentation from the Joint Board meeting so parents who were unable to attend the meeting can gain an understanding of the circumstances.
We have a remarkable team of educators at North Hampton School and we will be working to devise plans for bringing in small groups of students while we provide Enriched Virtual Learning. We have a strong framework to work from and have already made plans for orientation for our Middle School students. We will utilize the tent spaces we have created outside. We will be making plans for all grades for September in the next week.
In the meantime, we mailed letters to parents in grades K-5 with their child’s classroom assignment and a specific 30-minute Meet the Teacher time for each class. These will still take place next week. Please read the letter carefully so you can follow our safety guidelines. (Masks are required at all school events.) Please call the school on Monday if you do not receive your letter by noon on Monday. Here is the Meet the Teacher schedule:
We had already planned on issuing each student a technology device, either a laptop or an ipad, depending on the grade. We will schedule a pick up time for the devices by grade for September 3rd. Look for more details to follow next week.
