Computer Science Education Week 12/7-12/11
To celebrate Computer Science Education week, Mrs. Herlihy has created a NHS Hour of Code Website for students to access coding activities based on their grade level and their assigned school devices. The Hour of Code is a global movement that promotes the opportunity for students to learn the basics of computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path. Students can participate in the hour of code by simply coding for one hour and can access these activities at this website: https://sites.google.com/sau21.org/hourofcode/home
Report Cards
Trimester 1 ends on Dec. 4, 2020. Report cards will be issued for students and will be available for parents to view on Dec. 14, 2020. We will be utilizing Powerschool to generate report cards and parents will be able to view them in the Parent Portal. The Powerschool Parent Portal will be the ONLY way you will be able to see your child’s report card. We will not be printing and mailing copies to your home. This month, the School Board will be meeting remotely. You can find the zoom link on the SAU 21 website.

Holiday Staff Cookie Appreciation Day is coming up soon! We want to make
sure everyone at NHS gets a nice holiday card from students to go with
their surprise treats. Please don't make cards out for specific teachers.
Students should bring their Cookie Cards into school by Monday, December
7th. They can be dropped off in the 'Cookie Card' box in the front lobby
or with your classroom teacher.
