January 13, 2022
Dear NHS Community,
There is no school on Monday in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. His birthday is honored on the third Monday in January each year as a National holiday and has been earmarked as a National Day of Service. There are many memorable quotes from Dr. King, but I’ll share one on education: “Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education.” It seems to fit our philosophy at North Hampton and the values we have identified as essential to our students: PRIDE–perseverance, responsibility and respect, integrity, and empathy. We strive for North Hampton PRIDE each day!
Spelling Bee
The annual Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 4-8 and will take place on Jan. 25th. Please contact Becca Carlson or Linda Donohoe if you missed the flyers.
Parent Conferences
We have scheduled parent conferences for Feb. 2 in the afternoon. It is also an early release day with a 12:00 dismissal time. Teachers will be contacting families to set up virtual appointments. We have seen great success with the virtual conferences and look forward to sharing student progress at these meetings.
