North Hampton School

Weekly Note from Ms. Snyder 9/1/2022

Dear NHS Families,

It has been great to see our students back in the building these past 3 days. On Tuesday, we had a school gathering and read the book, “School’s First Day of School,” which is told from the school’s point of view. Our school is also happy to have everyone back! Teachers have been helping students learn old and new routines. All students are eating in the cafeteria. As we had said, lunches are no longer free. If you think your family may qualify for free or reduced price meals at school, please fill out the application on our website.

Here is the information about setting up accounts that was sent last week again:

Food Service

Free meals are no longer available in our cafeteria. Current USDA guidance does not allow us to continue to serve free mails. Applications for Free/Reduced price meals are available. The process is confidential and students are not identified as they pass through the meal line. All students are issued a unique bar code that is used when they get meals at NHS.

Prices for the 2022-2023 school year are:

Breakfast:  $1.80  (reduced price is 30 cents)

Lunch: $3.25 (reduced price is 40 cents)

We do not accept cash so families will need to pay online by setting up an account at

Ezschoolpay

Please see the attached flyer from our Food Service Director Paula Field. She is available for any questions you may have. Please contact her at pfield@sau21.com

Students may choose to bring or buy lunch any day. Lunch menus will be sent home via email.

New Hampshire State Testing Results

Students who were enrolled in grades 3-8 last year took the SAS test here at school. We will mail the results of the state testing to parents this week. Please remember that the SAS is just one measure of student achievement and that our school measures progress in many ways.
