Weekly Note from Ms. Snyder 11/21/2022

November 21, 2022

Dear NHS Families,

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with friends and family and that the holiday finds you healthy.

Practice giving thanks…

This article is from PBS kids for Parents by Deborah Farmer Kris. It’s titled, “Raising Grateful Kids–Why giving thanks is good for the soul.” Researchers tell us that being grateful is linked to happiness. If you have a few minutes, it is a short article with good reminders about taking the time to be sure we practice gratitude and teach our children to, as well. After all, I bet that your children are the people you are most grateful to have in your lives!

PAL COOKIE DAY

The holiday season is here and it is time to start planning for a very special tradition, the NHS Staff Holiday Cookie Appreciation Day!  PAL (our PTO or school community organization) can use help with baking and cookie assembly so that every teacher, staff member, and bus driver receives a special treat!

Please mark your calendars for Friday, December 9.

We are asking families to send cookies or treats to school that morning with students. Bakers can sign up here:
