Message from PAL

Jump, Jam or Jog for the Jaguar Jungle

We are making excellent progress toward our fundraising goal, having already reached halfway with a total of $10,089.  We are aiming for $20,000 to purchase our 4 pieces of playground equipment, so let's keep the momentum going!  We have our Fun Run event on Monday 10/2 and parents are invited to cheer on your students:

Schedule of Fun Run for Monday 10/2:

PreK --grade 4: 9-9:45am

Grades 5 --8: 10-10:45am

Parents can come clap, cheer, or make a sign to encourage the kids to have fun at the FUN RUN. Thank you for all of your support this week!  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to PAL directly via info@nhspal.com

Message from North Hampton Public Library

The North Hampton Library staff asked us to send this information out to parents. They love having your children visit the library, but also need to enforce their policies so that the library is a safe and happy place for all visitors. Please read it carefully and check out their policy on children in the library. NHPLYouthPolicy (14).docx

Children under the age of eleven (11) may not be left unattended at the library unless that child is attending a library program that specifically states that participating children do not have to have a parent in attendance with them. A child is unattended if a parent is not present with the child at all times while in the library.

At the discretion of a parent, a child aged eleven (11) to thirteen (13) may be left unattended for up to 2 hours as long as the child knows how to reach a parent in case the need arises. Children may not be left longer than two hours; the library does not provide child care services.

Parent Conferences

Teachers have sent out sign up information for parent-teacher conferences next week. We have an early release day on Oct. 6 with conference times from 12;30-3:00 PM. Knowing that Friday marks the beginning of a long weekend and that some families may have travel plans, teachers are also offering a variety of times during the week for conferences. Please be on time for your appointment as the schedules tend to be rather tight in order to accommodate all parents who wish to meet.

North Hampton School Library News

The NHS Library is here to support all students and staff in their reading and learning activities. Please check out the September Library Newsletter to learn a little more about what happens in the NHS Library.

Middle School Laptops–reminder

This is a request for Middle School parents to please remind their children to not put their laptop and their water bottles in their backpacks together. As you can imagine, this is not a good combination and can lead to water damage to our school laptops. Thank you.
