November 30, 2023
Dear NHS Families,
Reminder–No school tomorrow. It is a professional day for teachers.
With the colder weather upon us, I’d like to give a gentle reminder to be sure that children are dressed appropriately for the weather. On most days, all grades go outdoors for recess and need to have coats, hats, and gloves. When it gets snowy, they will also need boots and snowpants in order to play in the snow. If your family needs assistance in purchasing winter gear, please let Nurse Mara know.
12 Days of Giving
You should have received a note from Nurse Mara offering holiday gift support for families and also asking for families who may be interested in making donations. Please contact Nurse Mara for either of these. If you wish to donate a toy of any kind, we will also have a collection box in the lobby in collaboration with Winnacunnet HS student government and the North Hampton Fire Dept. Toys for Tots program.
Report Cards
Today is the last day of Trimester 1. Report cards will be available to view in the Parent Portal in Powerschool beginning on Dec. 11th. If you need assistance with your login for the Parent Portal, please contact Sue MacLaughlin in the front office. We won’t be printing copies for all students, but if you require a printed copy, you may request it from Sue as well.

Cook Center Resources Available to Parents
This year, we have partnered with the Cook Center to offer parenting support for any families that may wish to take advantage of online parent coaching. Please see the flyer below. All services are confidential and the Cook Center will not share any information about which families take advantage of the service.
Message from North Hampton Public Library
The North Hampton Library staff asked us to send this information out to parents. They love having your children visit the library, but also need to enforce their policies so that the library is a safe and happy place for all visitors. Please read it carefully and check out their policy on children in the library.
Children under the age of eleven (11) may not be left unattended at the library unless that child is attending a library program that specifically states that participating children do not have to have a parent in attendance with them. A child is unattended if a parent is not present with the child at all times while in the library.
At the discretion of a parent, a child aged eleven (11) to thirteen (13) may be left unattended for up to 2 hours as long as the child knows how to reach a parent in case the need arises. Children may not be left longer than two hours; the library does not provide child care services.
