February 15, 2024
Dear NHS Families,
We do have school next Monday, Feb. 19th. Although it is President’s Day, New Hampshire schools recognize the day next week during our school vacation week.
SAS Testing
Each year, students in NH in grades 3-8 take state assessments called SAS. Students in grades 3-8 all take reading, writing, and math tests. Only students in grade 5 and grade 8 take a science test. Parents can access results online once results are finalized. This year, students will take the writing assessment in March and the reading and math assessments in May. Schools use the results to assess their program’s effectiveness and set goals where needed. Please see the parent letter and schedule below.
