North Hampton School

Weekly note from Ms. Snyder--April 24, 2025

April 24, 2025

Dear North Hampton Families,

It’s almost vacation time! We wish you a fun filled week with your children!

It will be Teacher Appreciation Week when we return from the vacation. Please consider sending a note of thanks to your children’s teachers. Yesterday was Administrative Assistant Appreciation Day. If you see Sue, Ally, or Jessie from our office, let them know you appreciate them too!

Lost and Found

Spring has arrived! With it, comes lots of jackets and sweatshirts left outside at recess. Please consider writing your child’s name in their belongings so we can return them when found. It is especially hard to figure out whose NHS gear we find. Remind your child to check the Lost and Found in our gym lobby. We will put out all the ‘found’ items on May 14th.

Jaggy’s Birthday is May 29th!

You may remember that last year, Jaggy had a birthday party. He is having a luau this year during lunch time! The menu is sweet and sour meatballs, Hawaiian rice, roasted veggie skewers, tropical fruit, and a birthday cupcake. Parents are invited to come have lunch with their children at their regular recess/lunch time. Parents should order their meal ahead of time if they plan to attend. (Younger siblings are welcome too.) Since we will be outdoors, we have scheduled a rain date of May 30, 2025 if needed. Please see the flyer at the bottom of this message for details.

May Menus

Please see the menus for the month of May at the bottom of this note.

Annual Book Fair, Plant Sale, and Art Show

Mark your calendar for May 14th for this annual event. We host the Scholastic Book Fair with after school hours. The Plant Sale is always a big hit and you can view beautiful student art displayed as well.

Re-Seeding our Fields

We will be re-seeding our playing fields over the April school vacation week. We do this twice a year. If you see a sign saying they have been re-seeded, please stay off the fields if they are very wet or if anyone is wearing cleats.  This will give the seeds the best chance of producing a nice playing field. Thank you.

Re-runs:

Teacher Appreciation Week: May 5-9, 2025

We love our teachers at NHS and know that you do too. It is a bit early, but it will come up right after the April vacation. PAL is planning some appreciation events for them. Teachers also love a handwritten note from a parent or student letting them know how they have made a difference. Please consider taking a few moments to write your children’s teachers a note. Thank you.
