Many private schools require that students take the SSAT. You would need to check with the requirements of each school your child may be applying to. Some schools have their own entrance exam in lieu of the SSAT.

All that you need to apply to a school can be found on the website of the school your child is applying to. The recommendations forms might be paper or electronic.

Each individual you are asking to complete a hard copy needs a standard sized, stamped, business envelope. Ms. Vas needs a larger envelope, no smaller than 9x11 no stamps for the transcripts.

Put the address of the school in both the mailing address space and the return mailing space. Place your child’s name on the lower left hand corner of the envelope. NO STAMPS NEEDED for the bigger transcript envelope.

You only need to put postage on the business envelopes not the transcript envelope.

YES!!!!!!! Make sure the checklist has been completed and the student brings it when they meet with Ms. Vas

1. A hard copy of the recommendation form and a copy of the completed sheet that lists school and the type of recommendation.
2. A completed activity sheet.
3. An addressed, stamped business size envelope for each paper recommendation.

YES!!! They are not to leave it on the teacher’s desk or in their mailbox this includes prior verbal requests are to be made to staff prior to sending an electronic request.
