Mrs. Haas’s fourth grade students were very excited to read the new books.
The classroom libraries of NHS were enriched on Nov. 5th when employees of McGovern Subaru of North Hampton dropped off a generous donation.
Subaru has partnered with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to award the AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prizes for Excellence in Science Books. This award celebrates outstanding science writing and illustration for children and young adults. All recipients are recently published, scientifically sound, and foster an understanding and appreciation of science in readers of all ages.
McGovern Subaru donated 150 of these books, including Eye of the Storm, Beauty and the Beak, and Shark Lady, to the students of North Hampton School. As part of our commitment to our STEAM program, NHS is excited to bring these books into our classrooms and into the hands of our students. We thank Sales Manager Christine Loan and General Sales Manager Joseph Rhodes for bringing us these wonderful texts.
