Ms. Deena Jensen
Director of Student Services
I have always loved supporting others and helping to provide students with what they need to be successful. I received my Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and then my Master’s in School Psychology from Plattsburgh State University in NY. I started my career in education as a school psychologist in Epping. Years later, I pursued my Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership through Rivier University and received my certification in Special Education Administration. I then joined SAU 15 where I spent five years as Auburn’s Director of Student Services. I loved collaborating with staff and parents to provide effective support to all students. I am incredibly happy to now be a part of the North Hampton community!
When I am not working I enjoy spending time outside and exploring new places. I am eager to travel to new destinations, including states I have not yet seen, and adding new countries to the list of those I’ve already visited (countries I’ve been to currently include Canada, Mexico, France and the Azores island chain belonging to Portugal).
I live on the Lamprey River and love my back deck and patio area. Kayaking is a favorite activity of mine. As of the writing of this, I have four peaks left (Adams, Madison, North Twin and South Twin) to have completed all 48 of the 4,000 foot mountains in NH. I have also redlined the Belknap Mountain Range and Castle in the Clouds Conversation Area. This means that I have not only submitted all of the peaks, I have hiked every trail. Although my pace is slow like a turtle, I consider myself a trail runner. I have completed the Joe English Twilight Challenge half-marathon (13.1 miles) and the Gunstock Trailfest 30K (18.6 miles). I am hoping to complete the Ghost Train 30-hour ultra marathon this fall by completing 45+ miles.
