Mr. Elliot Pope

Social Studies Teacher

Mr. Pope grew up in Midcoast Maine and attended UNH. Mr. Pope graduated from UNH in 2000 with a BA in Economics. He then moved to Colorado and completed a teaching program at the University of Colorado, Boulder. 

In 2006 he moved back to New Hampshire and taught at Dover Middle School for six years, then at the Cooperative Middle School in Stratham for three years. In 2015, Mr. Pope and his wife moved to Tucson Arizona for a year. They returned in 2016 and Mr. Pope taught at the Ross A. Lurgio Middle School, in Bedford New Hampshire, for three years. 

In 2019, Mr. Pope was hired at the North Hampton school and has taught there ever since. In 2021 Mr. Pope received his masters degree in education from New England College in Henniker New Hampshire.

Mr. Pope currently lives in an old house in Brentwood with his wife and two cats. Mr. Pope enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including cycling, mountain biking, backcountry and nordic skiing and hiking. With his wife, Mr. Pope has hiked all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4000+ foot mountains.
